Between founders Robin Pipe and Pete Giles lies a substantial background in professional murder-mystery entertainment.

They previously ran one of the UK's largest murder-mystery companies and have provided advice and practical support to other businesses in the industry, including acting as consultants.

Their experience ranges from intimate private events to major hotels and destination venues, across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Spain and Belgium.

Why we built it this way

The hotel runs the hotel. We create its one-off mystery.

Over many years we have seen live events made unnecessarily complicated by ticket splits, minimum sales, changing prices and last-minute renegotiation.

We wanted something simpler and more special. The hotel pays one fixed fee and keeps its revenue. We research the property, write an original story, commit six professional actors and perform it once, even if ticket sales are lower than hoped.

What 1,500 events have taught us

01

Performance

Professional actors who can improvise, respond naturally to guests and sustain believable characters.

02

Hospitality

A production planned around dinner service instead of forcing the hotel to work around us.

03

Reliability

Once confirmed, disappointing ticket sales do not cause us to cancel or change the fee.

04

Safety

A pre-event venue visit, suitability assessment and appropriate risk assessment.

05

Insurance

Appropriate event insurance, with evidence available to our partner hotel.

06

Accountability

Clear responsibilities, agreed timings and one named contact throughout.
